Phernell Walker, II, ABOM
is a nationally recognized speaker and author of the text-book, Pure Optics. A recipient of the prestigious Beverly Myer’s Achievement Award in Ophthalmic Optics, Mr. Walker is a Master in Ophthalmic Optics (ABOM). He earned a Bachelor's in Business Management Degree (BBM) from Excelsior College, an Associate Science Degree in Ophthalmic Optics (AS) from Hillsbor-ough Community College and Certified by the both ABO and NCLE certified. Mr. Walker is an authority and expert in advanced geo-metric and applied optics and served as a faculty member for the American Optometric Association (AOA), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), International Vision Expo, American Board of Opticianry National Conference, Professional Optician's of Florida (POF), Armed Forces Optomet-ric Society (AFOS), and at eye care professional conventions in 43-states. He has authored articles on lens and frame technology for Ophthalmology Times and Vision Care Products News Magazine. Mr. Walker was honored in Vision Monday’s “Forty Under Forty”, which listed forty of the nations brightest and innovative ECP's in the country. ABO Course Brochure

Mike Gzik, FCLSA
graduated from Erie Community College in Ophthalmic Dispensing. He is a New York State licensed optician /contact lens practitioner. He is a Fellow in the Contact Lens Society of America, JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Technician and NCLE certified. Mr. Gzik works in a private optical office in Syracuse NY, and at the Syracuse VA Hospital as an optician. He has worked as a consult-ant and technical trainer in for Bausch & Lomb professional ser-vices. He is a adjunct instructor for contact lens technology at SUNY Health Science Center Syracuse NY, Department of Ophthal-mology resident program. He has worked as a site coordinator for a Taunton Excimer laser in Syracuse, he is a past president of the NY Contact Lens Society. The COA welcomes Mike back to Connecticut

Lee Buffalo
of Jasper, GA, has thirty-seven years of experience in the contact lens industry. He has specialized skills in management and training of direct and distributor sales personnel and is a consult-ant for contact lens manufacturers, opticians, optometric and oph-thalmic technicians. His proven successes include management of existing product lines and new product development. His leadership and communication skills have been illustrated throughout his career as a technical product application trainer for contact lens manufac-turers and their consultation departments.
A former member of the Board of Directors of the Contact Lens Society of America, Lee lectures throughout the country. This is his second trip to Connecticut. Welcome back!
