We are looking for:

Customer service superstar
Knowledgeable in sales fitting and dispensing eyewear
Experience with frame board management

Lab experience preferred

Team driven mindset

Experience with VSP is a plus

We offer exceptional work/home balance with no nights or weekends

Connecticut license not required. We will consider a highly experienced apprentice.

The Eye Care Group is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our team and take a lead role in our Contact Lens Department. This position involves fitting and dispensing contact lenses as well as overseeing all operational aspects of the department to ensure exceptional patient care and efficiency. Must be willing to travel to all 4 locations: Waterbury Southbury Orange and Branford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fit and dispense contact lenses with a focus on patient comfort and visual outcomes

• Manage daily operations of the Contact Lens Department

• Provide guidance and support to staff on contact lens products and services

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Optician certification

• Experience with contact lens fitting and patient education

• Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses
• Acts as a leader in optical acumen• Take & record measurements accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail ensure finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs
• Assists team with complex product needs & prescriptions
• Accurate & thorough use of technology despite time pressure & customer volume exceptional product knowledge use of appropriate tools
• Proactive explores root cause of issues forward thinking ensures customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded solution driven
