Continuing Education for Opticians
The Connecticut Opticians Association offers a number of live CE events throughout the year. These events are available to all, but are offered free of charge to members in good standing of the COA.
Connecticut law for annual license renewal requires that all Continuing Education Credits be obtained in a face-to-face environment. Online/Zoom, magazine, etc., courses cannot be applied as credits needed for renewal.
A licensed optician must earn a minimum of 7 contact hours of qualifying CE, approved by the ABO/NCLE during the 1 year period preceding annual renewal. Each attendee must maintain proof of their credits for a period of three years.
To see these events, and register online, please visit the
Upcoming Events page.
